Liverpool lifted their first piece of silverware in 6 years at Wembley on Sunday beating Cardiff 3-2 on penalties after an intense 120 minutes couldn't keep the sides apart.
The Reds came up against tricky fixtures during the competition, facing away trips to Stoke, Chelsea, Brighton and eventually a semi final encounter over two legs against Manchester City.
