Liverpool FC have today confirmed Spanish
starlet Suso has signed a new contract with the club.
Speaking to
the official website, Suso had this to say: "I am really happy. Liverpool
are one of the biggest clubs in the world and this is the right place for me.
"I am
happy Brendan has shown trust in me. I had no questions about signing a new
deal and I am really glad to have done so.
"I am
comfortable here. I have played some games for the first team and I hope to
continue doing that, but I need to work hard every day for that to happen.
He
went on to describe it as ”One of the best days of my life."
Signed from
Cadiz by Rafael Benitez in 2010, Suso has emerged through the academy ranks
this season.
Brendan
Rodgers gave the 18-year-old his first senior start against BSC Young Boys in
the Europa League last month.
Suso has
also impressed in his two league starts this season against Norwich and Stoke,
as well as a substitute appearance at Anfield versus Manchester United.
