The Football Association have confirmed that the FA Cup final, between Liverpool and Chelsea, will take place on Saturday 5th May 2012, kick off 5:15pm.
The Reds will go in search of their second piece of domestic silverware this season, after they won the Carling Cup against Cardiff City in February.
Liverpool came from a goal down to defeat Everton 2-1 in the all Merseyside semi final, with a goal from Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll. While Chelsea overcame local rivals Tottenham with a resounding 5-1 scoreline.
The two sides have already met twice this season, and will set up another double header towards the end of the season. Incidentally, Liverpool ran out victors on both occasions, Glen Johnson's late goal sealing 3 points and then knocking Chelsea out of the Carling Cup.
