Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has spoken about his delight of wearing the famous No. 7 shirt. The Uruguayan joined The Reds 10 months ago for a fee believed to be in the region of £23 million from Dutch side Ajax and has since grown into a Kop figure.

Legends, Kevin Keegan and current manager Kenny Dalglish wore the jersey in previous years, with Suarez speaking of his privilege of donning the shirt in the current era.
He told France Football, “It gives me huge pride”.
“When I go onto the pitch, I am aware of the privilege I have been given to wear that number.”
The Liverpool star has also expressed how his move to the Premier League club was a “Dream come true”.

He went on to say, "When I was a kid playing on the PlayStation, I always chose Liverpool. I've never said it before, but they were already my team at that time."
"It was funny, because at the time I played on the screen beside Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, guys who were at the club when I came.”

The 24-year old also revealed how English football was different to that of his formers suitors in the Eredivise.  "The main difference between Ajax and Liverpool are the leagues," "The Premier League is really intense and very physical, "In England there are no easy matches - ever."

His exploits for club and country have not been unnoticed amongst world football, the Uruguayan was recently shortlisted within the 23-man shortlist for Fifa’s prestigious Ballon d’Or award.

The striker adding: “If I'm among the top 10, that in itself would be a great reward.”
