Liverpool 1-1 Blackburn Rovers Report: 26/12/11

Liverpool’s home form woes continued as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw with struggling Blackburn at Anfield.

Charlie Adam’s own goal gave the visitors the lead on the stroke of half time when he slashed a corner into Pepe Reina’s goal.

Maxi Rodriguez restored order nine minutes after half time, heading in Martin Skrtel’s cross.

Despite the second half onslaught Blackburn held on with reserve ‘keeper Bunn pulling off familiar goal keeping heroics at Anfield to give under fire manager Steve Keane some respite and return to Ewood Park with a share of the spoils.

However, Steven Gerrard’s return to the Liverpool outfit will offer Kenny Dalglish some relief going into a busy fixture period.

MOTM: Mark Bunn
